Uitkerkse Polder

Some 1400 ha located between Blankenberge, Wenduine, Nieuwmunster and Zuienkerke, the Uitkerkse Polder is an oasis of peace close to the coast and a safe haven for birds throughout the year. Ducks, geese, swans spend the winter in the Polder, while in spring reed dwellers and waders like the Black tailed godwits, Redshanks and Pied avocets come to breed.
